Brief Medical History: Psoriasis patches on abdomen, back, both hands, both legs (thighs etc.) since last 12 months. Scaling. Diet: Mixed. Occupation: Private company, stressful job.

Aetiology: Mental stress / Genetic (???)

Dosha: Vata pradhan Ekakushtha

Diagnosis: Chronic Plaque psoriasis

Area Affected: Abdomen / Back / Both arms and forearms / Both legs (thighs / shin etc.)

Previous Treatment: Had taken some treatment with very limited effect.

Age: 14 years

Brief Medical History: Had skin lesions of Psoriasis from small age (About 8 to 10 years of age). Started as small round lesions especially on both legs and hands, slowly the lesions spread to other area including even the face (rare case as Psoriasis lesions do not generally appear on face). Had tried many treatment options with very limited relief.

Aetiology: Genetic

Dosha (according to Ayurveda): Vata pradhan tridosh

Diagnosis: Guttate psoriasis

Area Affected: Entire body surface including hands / feet, trunk, back and face.

Previous Treatment: Had taken various treatments including modern medicines, homeopathy medicines etc.

Age: 28 years

Weight: 120 kg

Brief Medical History: Obesity ++++. Was going to Gym from last one year for weight loss, used to consume 10 to 12 boiled eggs daily as well as boiled chicken (high protein diet for weight loss). Started having skin eruptions / lesions since last 6 months. The skin lesions spread very fast and covered entire body, the patient had high grade fever when he visited the clinic for consultation. (High grade fever is a rare occurrence in Psoriasis (Erythrodermic Psoriasis) and is considered as an emergency)

Aetiology: High protein diet / Severe mental stress / unhealthy life style

Dosha (As per Ayurveda): Vata pradhan Pittanubandha

Diagnosis: Erythrodermic psoriasis

Area Affected: Both legs and feet, both hands and palms as well as fingers, trunk, back

Previous Treatment: Was put under Methotrexate as well as other medicines but had no relief or regression of lesions before starting Ayurvedic medicines.
